Movies are expensive – days in the park don’t interest teenagers. Xbox does. Holidays can become expensive.

Doing it all…..

Some parents believe in the opposite. Cook every meal for them. Make every cup of tea. Cut every fruit. Make every school lunch. Carry every bag. Buy every toy and open it up for them. Bake every cake. ETc – do everything, even when they are adults, keep on doin it.

What do you do for yourself?

So I changed the way I do things this year. I decided I needed to do something for ME!
So, everyone who knows me knows I love cricket. I also love training my dogs. Both are outdoors activities, and I am an ‘outdoorsy’ person, so that suits me well.

Rage against the teenager

My daughter missed her school bus today because she was watching tv on her laptop in her room. RAGE!!
I don’t allow the kids to watch tv before school, because this is what happens. They forget time.
They don’t get ready, and they miss things – like school books, or homework, or BUSSES.

So what is going to count in the hard times? Perseverance, not being handed everything, so you have to work for things, because when the hard times hit, you’ll have to work even harder, and keep on doing it, for years maybe. But if you know about working hard, you won’t be upset by it.

I’ve been saying that for AGES!!!
