This is an easy grilled salmon with olive oil sauce recipe. Grilled salmon is excellent for Omega oils, it’s a fresh fish for Summer, and it’s an easy fish to cook.
Preparation timre : 10 mins
Cooking : 5 mins approx.
- 2 tbsp light oliveoil, plus extra for greasing
- 1 x 125g ( 4 oz) salmon fillets, skin removed
- 25 g ( 1 oz) plain flour
- 200ml ( 7 fl oz) skimmed milk
- 2 tbsp each curly parsley and chives, roughly chopped
Pre-heat the grill. Lightly grease a baking tray and grill the salmon fro 3 – 5 mins until fish is cooked through and flakes easily when pushed with a knife.
Whilst the salmon is grilling, heat some oil gently in a pan.
Stir in the flour and cook over a low heat for 2 – 3 mins, then remove from the heat and gradually add the skimmed milk.
Return the pan to a medium heat and stir the sauce until it thickens. Add a little more milk if necessary.
Remember the salmon in the oven!!
Season the sauce with the chopped parsley and chives.
Spoon the sauce over the grilled fish.
Serve with boiled potatoes, green beans and extra sauce on the side if you have.
