Halloween severed fingers and dip recipe

healthy severed fingers

Oh, those good old severed fingers…. here’s the healthy version.

For dip:

  • 2 tbsp soft cheese
  • 2 tbsp natural set yogurt
  • 2 tbsp light mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • ½ tsp lemon juice
  • 1-2 drops Worcestershire sauce
  • 1-2 drops Tabasco sauce

For the fingers:

  • 8 medium carrots
  • 1 red pepper
To make the dip:
Measure :
2 tbsp soft cheese,
2 tbsp natural set yogurt
2 tbsp light mayonnaise
into a bowl and whisk until smooth.
Add:
2 tbsp ketchup,
½ tsp lemon juice,
1-2 drops Worcestershire sauce
1-2 drops Tabasco sauce,
whisk until blended.
For the fingers:
Peel 8 medium carrots and taper the ends.
Cut a slit in one end of each carrot.
Cut 1 red pepper into fingernail shapes, then trim the backs so they are thinner.
Slide them into the carrot slits so they stay in place.
Healthy and nutritious, and great for kids who have flour/wheat/gluten / issues. Not sure they are as effective as the cookie version though….
